MUNICIPAL WASTE Frontman Performing On Crutches

Crossover thrash merchants MUNICIPAL WASTE have just finished their mammouth country wide USA tour with GWAR. For a band who are so energetic and crazy — using bodyboards, blowups and wizards — the tour hasn't been without its misshaps.

Tony Foresta, singer of MUNICIPAL WASTE, said this about an incident with a bodyboard in New York City, "I hyper-extended my knee at our show the other night and I've been in a wheelchair/on crutches ever since. I can't walk or really move my left leg at all. It sucks playing shows now because I just stand there holding the mic stand for dear life like I'm the singer of AEROSMITH or something... bummer..."

MUNICIPAL WASTE reissued their "Hazardous Mutation" album in Europe with a free bonus live DVD on October 30 via Earache. The DVD was filmed at a show in the band's hometown of Richmond, Virginia. In addition to the live set, the DVD includes interviews with the band members, capturing the true comedy and humour that make MUNICIPAL WASTE so distinctive.

Since the release of "Hazardous Mutation" in 2005, MUNICIPAL WASTE has toured extensively all over Europe, U.K., U.S. and Australia, delivering their infectious brand of old school thrash to appreciative audiences, including a blistering set at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.
