MOTÖRHEAD's LEMMY To Record New Music With THE DAMNED

December 28, 2002

MOTÖRHEAD legend Lemmy Kilmister will once again be teaming up with members of THE DAMNED to create music together.

Details are pretty sketchy at the moment, but it appears that Lemmy will be joined by THE DAMNED frontman Dave Vanian, bassist Captain Sensible (born Ray Burns) and drummer Andrew "Pinch" Pinching during a recording session that is presently scheduled to take place in late January/early February. A few other, as-yet-undisclosed "high-profile" guests are also set to appear on the recording, which is not expected to surface before 2004.

In 1978, Kilmister briefly teamed up with members of THE DAMNED in a project called MOTÖRDAMNED. Several tracks were recorded by the group, including a cover of SWEET's "Ballroom Blitz".
