MOTÖRHEAD, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Members Guest On New QUEEN V Album

September 18, 2007

Queen V – singer, guitarist and rock 'n' roll purist — has recruited heavy metal cult icon Lemmy (MOTÖRHEAD) to lend his signature gravelly voice and lyrics to "Wasted", a track off her December 2007 release, "Death or Glory" (Royal Noise Recordings). The record also features guest appearances by Tom Morello (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE),Vernon Reid (LIVING COLOUR),blues/roots rocker Jon Paris and the engineering skills of Ron St. Germain (BAD BRAINS, TOOL).

Queen V can be judged by the company she keeps — the rocker has opened for artists like Billy Idol, Bon Jovi, Perry Farrell's SATELLITE PARTY and has jammed on stage with the likes of Morello, Slash, Les Claypool and CYPRESS HILL. Endorsements from veteran musicians who believe in her enough to lend their talents to her material is a testament to her passion and ambitious attitude that has enabled her to pave the way for herself on her own.

Produced by Queen V's longtime songwriting partner Phil Schmoll with help from John Seymour and Chris Altenhoff, "Death or Glory" is a mix of attitude, power and singer/songwriting. "My Machine" is an unrelenting, speeding ride about being "a proud sexual woman in the face of all the guilt and shame women are supposed to feel" with Queen V's deep, heavy breaths layered over Morello's intense guitar riffs. V takes it down a notch for "One and Only", which features a blistering guitar solo from Reid coupled with V's vocals, alternately breathy and furious. Though Queen V is determined to turn the rock world on its ass, not all of the tracks on "Death or Glory" are heavy and hard — the deeply emotional "Cry for a Minute" is a heartfelt song about her good friend who died tragically in a car accident that shows her softer singer/songwriter side.

Queen V's song "Revolution, Baby", currently available for free at www.myspace.com/queenv, is a call to arms as she has begins a march of her own to "take back New York" with a monthly night of ass kickin' rock parties in various venues around New York City. With staple rock venues like CBGB, Sin-E, Tonic and so many more being part of the unfortunate trend of the major shutdown of independently owned music venues in Manhattan, her "take back New York" endeavor aims to breath life into the state of live music in New York City. Queen V is at the helm of this revolution, a dutiful warrior fighting to save rock 'n' roll and the independent spirit that comes along with it.
