MORS PRINCIPIUM EST Announces New Guitarist

August 14, 2008

Vocalist Ville Viljanen of the Finnish melodic death metal band MORS PRINCIPIUM EST has issued the following update:

"I thought it's about time to let you people know at least a bit what's going on with us.

"Well, at first I will let you know, that we have a new guitar player, again. Yes yes, I know, the guitar players do change quite rapidly in our camp, BUT maybe this time this one will stay, at least that is what we hope. The new guy is called Tom Gardiner, but friends say just Tomma. Tomma is a really cool guy and awesome guitar player!

"Anyways. He already played with us at the Nummirock festival during June and everything went great, so why the hell wouldn't we take that guy as an official member.

"So, at the moment the live line-up is:

Ville Viljanen - Vocals
Mikko Sipola - Drums
Teemu Heinola - Bass
Tomy Laisto - Guitar
Tom Gardiner - Guitar

"Jarkko [Kokko, guitar] will remain as a member of MPE, but he will not do any live shows. At least at the moment the situation is this.

"And then some other news.

"We are writing some new material as we speak. Nothing is ready yet, so I can not say how the songs sound, but just wanted to let you know, that we are still alive and working on a new material. I hope that in a month or so I could record some demo vocals and start to contact various record labels and see what they think about the new MPE. So, hang in there and I will let you know as soon as I have something to tell."

MORS PRINCIPIUM EST's third album, "Liberation = Termination", was released in February 2007 via Listenable Records. The follow-up to "The Unborn" was recorded at Astia Studio in Finland and was mastered at Imperial Mastering in Concord, California.
