March 27, 2006

The LebaneseBands.com web site has been updated with photos and video clips taken at this year's Desert Rock 2006 festival, which happened on March 16 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Check out the footage at this location.

Desert Rock 2006 marked MEGADETH's first live appearance with new bassist James Lomenzo, who has previously played with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and WHITE LION, among others. Also appearing on the bill were TESTAMENT.

TESTAMENT's lineup at the festival included original guitarist Alex Skolnick and bassist Greg Christian, plus drummer Jon Allen (SADUS),alongside band principals Chuck Billy (vocals) and Eric Peterson (guitar).

As previously reported, SAXON were removed from the billing of Desert Rock because one of their songs from the 1980s ("Crusader") includes lyrics about freeing the Holy Land and spilling Muslim blood.
