MISTRESS OF REALITY Drummer Not In Line To Join STRATOVARIUS

March 8, 2004

Despite published reports to the contrary, there is no truth to the rumors that Simona Bressi, the drummer for the Los Angeles-based BLACK SABBATH cover band MISTRESS OF REALITY, is in line to fill the vacant drummer slot in STRATOVARIUS.

The rumor that Bressi might be joining STRATOVARIUS first originated on www.metalmeltdown.com shortly after the announcement that drummer Anders Johansson (formerly of YNGWIE MALMSTEEN'S RISING FORCE) had opted to leave the band in order to continue playing with HAMMERFALL. In a February 17 phone interview, STRATOVARIUS guitarist Timo Tolkki made an offhand remark about possibly getting a female drummer from an L.A.-based SABBATH tribute band. This tale gathered some steam once the forums got a hold of it and has even been repeated by other web sites.

When recently asked whether this was true, singer Izzy Osbourne (Paulette Casal) of MISTRESS OF REALITY stated that it wasn't. She was also quite amused to hear that rumors are already sprouting up about MISTRESS OF REALITY, who will be just a year old in April.
