MISERY INDEX: KEVIN TALLEY 'Fully' Back In The Band, New EP On The Way

June 2, 2004

MISERY INDEX, the Baltimore, Maryland-based band featuring Jason Netherton (bass/vocals, ex-DYING FETUS),Sparky Voyles (guitar, ex-DYING FETUS, M.O.D.),Bruce Greig (guitar, ex-DYING FETUS, NEXT STEP UP) and Kevin Talley (drums, ex-DYING FETUS, SUFFOCATION, M.O.D.),have posted the following message on their web site:

"Hello everyone! We'd like to thank all of you who came out to the gigs on our recent tour of the States, especially this past weekend's Maryland Fest, it was great to see you all! Special thanks goes out to the guys in THROUGH THE DISCIPLINE for sticking with that bedeviled tour through the bitter end ha ha. It was good to rock out and camp out with the guys in CANNAE, and after 4 tours with KATAKLYSM (dating back to 1996 with DYING FETUS),well, what can we say that hasn't been said before?

"ALSO: Regarding the recently cancelled June/July European tour: After months of reassurances that everything was cool, the agent (Tjerk at Loudnoise in the Netherlands) decided it wasn't financially viable to make the tour happen, so he cancelled it. We did everything in our power to make this come to pass, but, due to the fact that he pulled out so late in the game, there was no way to work it out on our own. We are obviously disappointed (read: pissed!!!) that things turned out this way. Thankfully, our tour in Europe in August is still a go, and hopefully the Iceland dates will be made up at that time as well.

"In the meantime, drummer Kevin Talley is now fully back in the band, and we will be doing some dates down South in mid-June, as well as recording a new EP in Atlanta in late June (YES, NEW SONGS!). We're also putting together DIY dates for July leading up to Hellfest in NJ, so anyone who can help us out with booking shows, please get in touch at [email protected] . Thanks as always for the continued support, and see you all on the road again soon. METAL!!!"
