MIKE PATTON Meets Mayor Of Milan: Video Footage Available

July 30, 2010

Video footage of Mike Patton (FAITH NO MORE, PEEPING TOM, TOMAHAWK) meeting the mayor of Milan, Italy, Letizia Moratti, can be viewed below. (Note: The chat often switches from Italian to English, as all parties involved are fluently bilingual.)

According to Musica Metal, this unusual meeting (Moratti is a right-wing politician with strong anti-immigration and anti-drug policies) took place on Sunday, July 25, a few hours before Patton's "Mondo Cane" symphonic project took the stage at the Arena Civica, accompanied by the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra, to perform covers of Italian pop classics from the Fities/Sixties.

When the mayor was introduced from the stage before the concert took place, she was heavily booed by the rock crowd, which sees her as a member of the "old, anti-rock" establishment.

Photos of the concert are available on Musica Metal.
