MICHAEL SCHENKER Schedules NAMM Signing Sessions

Legendary guitarist Michael Schenker (MSG, UFO, SCORPIONS) will appear at the 2009 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show, which will be held January 15-18 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. He will be taking part in a signing session on Friday, January 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and again on Saturday, January 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. He may also be jamming at the House of Blues in Anaheim on Saturday, January 17 at 11:00 pm. (not confirmed yet).

MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP is currently putting together a U.S. tour starting around February/March and a U.K. tour is planned as well. In addition, Schenker and singer Gary Barden have completed work on an acoustic album which is expected n the spring.

UK's EMI Catalogue recently released released "The Best Of The Michael Schenker Group: 1980-1984", a collection of album tracks, live cuts and b-sides and four tracks previously only available on import.

MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP's new album, "In the Midst of Beauty", was released on May 13 via Inakustic GMBH. The CD features returning MSG singer Gary Barden, drummer Simon Philips (THE WHO, TOTO),bassist Neil Murray (BLACK SABBATH, WHITESNAKE) and keyboardist Don Airey (DEEP PURPLE, OZZY OSBOURNE).
