MICHAEL SCHENKER, CARMINE APPICE Perform With SCORPIONS In Illinois (Video)

Former UFO/SCORPIONS guitarist Michael Schenker and legendary drummer Carmine Appice (SLAMM, VANILLA FUDGE, ROD STEWART, OZZY OSBOURNE, TED NUGENT) joined SCORPIONS on stage on Saturday, August 21 at the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, Illinois. Michael came out for "Another Piece of Meat" and Appice (who plays drums in Schenker's current touring band) was on the drums for "No One Like You".

MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP was the support act for the SCORPIONS at the Rosemont show.

SCORPIONS' latest album, "Sting In The Tail", sold 18,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 23 on The Billboard 200 chart. This marks the band's highest chart debut in over 20 years. The CD also landed at No. 6 on the Rock Albums chart.

SCORPIONS' last record, "Humanity - Hour 1", opened with 10,500 units back in September 2007 to enter The Billboard 200 chart at No. 63.

"Sting In The Tail" was released in North America on March 23 via Universal Music Enterprises. The CD was recorded at a studio in Hannover, Germany with Swedish producers Mikael "Nord" Andersson and Martin Hansen (the team behind THE RASMUS' "Dead Letters" CD).
