METALLICA To Ring In 2004 Via FOX TV Appearance

December 4, 2003

METALLICA will perform on Fox's second annual New Year's Eve show staged on the Las Vegas Strip and again hosted by "American Idol"'s Ryan Seacrest, according to the Daily Variety.

The San Franciscian heavy metal quartet — along with other guest musical acts ASHANTI, WYCLEF JEAN, OUTKAST and KEITH URBAN — will perform in a pavilion built for the occasion in front of the Venetian Hotel. Show is staged from 8-9:30 p.m. PT and broadcast to the East Coast starting at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Unlike Fox's Times Square competitor, attendance at "America's Party" has a price: $200. Ducats, sold online at Vegas.com, allow patrons entry to the concert and provide front-of-the-line entrance to nightclubs Studio 54 at MGM, Rain at the Palms and Ra at the Luxor.

METALLICA are scheduled to perform a late-night show at the Hard Rock's nightclub the Joint shortly after their Fox TV appearance.
