February 27, 2009

ThisIsNottingham.co.uk reports that METALLICA's sell-out show at the Trent FM Arena Wednesday night (February 25) was the venue's biggest ever crowd.

The band broke the attendance record with its in-the-round show, playing a two-hour set in front of 10, 337 fans.

The previous record was 10,015 held by the KINGS OF LEON at a show in December last year.

"We are always striving to provide increased capacities for promoters and this record breaking attendance highlights our success in being able to attract the highest calibre of artists to our venue," said chief executive Geoff Huckstep.
