METALLICA: Kansas City Meet-And-Greet, Backstage, Performance Footage Posted Online

November 6, 2008

Official Metallica.com footage from METALLICA's October 25, 2008 concert in Kansas City, Missouri can be viewed below. The video includes footage from the pre-show meet-and-greet, the "Wasting My Hate" backstage jam session and the "Harvester Of Sorrow" performance.

METALLICA is playing at least five songs a night from its new "Death Magnetic" album on its current tour, but the group's not ignoring its older material by any means. In fact, METALLICA continues to dip heavily into its catalog as well, giving bassist Robert Trujillo a chance to put his mark on tunes recorded up to 20 years before he joined the band. The Pulse of Radio asked Trujillo to name some of his favorite METALLICA classics to play. "Anything off 'Ride the Lightning' and 'Master of Puppets' is always a great, fun time for me as a bass player," he said. "I love playing 'Disposable Heroes', we don't play it very often. I've been having fun playing 'Justice' ('...And Justice For All'). So I don't know, there's a lot. Every song is great. It's just always about having a good time, especially with the old stuff."

Recent METALLICA set lists have included vintage material like "Fight Fire With Fire", "Ride The Lightning", "Blackened" and "The Four Horsemen".

METALLICA plays on Thursday night (November 6) in Omaha, Nebraska.

"Death Magnetic", the band's ninth studio album, fell to No. 12 on this week's Billboard album chart, selling 38,000 copies to increase its total to 1.25 million.
