METALLICA Frontman Confronts Paparazzi While Vacationing In Uruguay (Photos)

December 28, 2011

METALLICA frontman James Hetfield confronted photographers while vacationing in Punta del Este, Uruguay over Christmas. According to Starfeine.com, Hetfield "was spotted taking a moped ride with his son Castor in the countryside of Punta Del Este and the paparazzi would not leave him alone, so he took it upon himself to try and stop them. James confronted a few and even threw some rocks at some out of frustration."

Hetfield has been married to Francesca since 1997. They have three children, Cali, Castor and Marcella.

His hobbies include skateboarding, hunting, water sports, snowboarding, collecting guitars and customizing classic automobiles.

METALLICA played four intimate shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco in early December as part of a week-long celebration of its 30th anniversary as a band for fan club members only.

METALLICA's ninth studio effort, "Death Magnetic", came out in September 2008.
