December 28, 2015

Ozzy Osbourne, Nikki Sixx (MÖTLEY CRÜE),Dave Mustaine (MEGADETH),Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT),Krist Novoselic (NIRVANA),Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES),Mike Portnoy (THE WINERY DOGS, DREAM THEATER),are among the rock musicians and scores of other artists who reacted on social media to the death of legendary MOTÖRHEAD bassist/singer Lemmy Kilmister.

Lemmy found out on December 26 that he was suffering from "an extremely aggressive" form of cancer. He died two days later at home in Los Angeles with his family by his side.

Sixx said on Twitter that he would miss Lemmy, and called him a "(pillar) of dignity."

Osbourne tweeted: "Lost one of my best friends, Lemmy, today. He will be sadly missed. He was a warrior and a legend. I will see you on the other side."

METALLICA wrote: "Lemmy, you are one of the primary reasons this band exists. We're forever grateful for all of your inspiration. RIP"

Taylor said: "My friend died today. We'll all miss you. Your name was Lemmy, and you played Rock n Roll. Rest in Peace, my man."

You were so kind to me, supportive and encouraging and naturally, brutally honest. Thanks, Lemmy. You are a legend and I'll miss you!
