METAL MIRROR: NWOBHM Legend Returns As An All-Star Band

March 23, 2006

METAL MIRROR, the legendary band of the British heavy metal underground, have rerformed. The group will shortly publish a previously unreleased live album (recorded in 1981 in London) featuring the original lineup, including the late great Chris Haggerty, who sadly passed away in 2004.

METAL MIRROR are currently working on material for a new studio album, titled "One Thousand Days In Hell", to be recorded later this year. The band are also planning a few live shows (dates to be announced). Replacing Chris Haggerty will be Andy Barnet, who has played with many metal legends, including Paul Di'Anno, Bernie Torme, Gary Barden, Doogie White, Neil Murray, "Fast" Eddie Clark and Zak Starkey. Andy was also in the NWOBHM band URCHIN (with Dave Murray and Adrian Smith who later joined IRON MAIDEN). Benjamin Reio Franklyn replaced Mick Green on drums. Benjamin has been playing with the BARNSTORMERS, PRAYING MANTIS, and Jon Lord.
