METAL CRUSADERS Organizers Deny Giving False Information About NUCLEAR ASSAULT's Cancellation

January 27, 2006

Dan Rozenblum of Thunderdome Touring has released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET rejecting Maximus Entertainment's assertion that Thunderdome was engaging in "attempted fraud" by giving "false information regarding the Metal Crusaders Tour to try to profit and steal commissions and take advantage of every act involved in this tour." His statement reads as follows:

"Thunderdome would like to apologize for all the confusion regarding the Metal Crusaders Tour.

"Just to clear up some things... Tammy Taylor (Maximus Entertainment) contacted us and informed us that due to some family matter with John [Connolly] from NUCLEAR ASSAULT that the band was forced to pull out of the tour. OF COURSE, the last thing we wanna do is replace bands on a confirmed package (coupled with the fact that they are one of our favorite bands!),but things like this happen and we have to do the best we can to satisfy the fans. DESTRUCTION came into the picture and came to an agreement to replace NUCLEAR ASSAULT. If an agent/manager calls and says their band is cancelling, then what are we suppose to believe??

If Robert Devine at Maximus, who claims 'NUCLEAR ASSAULT are ready to rock,' was not aware of this illness, why should Thunderdome be held liable for their internal communication problems?

"Forget the politics, let's bring the rock and have some fun!"

The Metal Crusaders Tour, featuring headliners VADER alongside KATAKLYSM, DESTRUCTION, SPEED\KILL/HATE, GRAVEWORM and THE ABSENCE, is scheduled to kick off May 26 in Montreal, Quebec. A list of confirmed dates can be found at this location.
