METAL CHURCH Recording Vocals For New Album

April 5, 2008

Long-running Seattle-based metallers METAL CHURCH have issued the following update:

"Ronny [Munroe, vocals] just flew into Seattle to finish the final vocal tracks for the new [METAL CHURCH] release. We are very pleased with the way it is turning out. Look forward to more updates along with some studio photos."

METAL CHURCH's new album, tentatively titled "This Present Wasteland", is scheduled for release later in the year.

The band recently parted ways with guitarist Jay Reynolds (also of MALICE) for "personal reasons." A replacement guitarist has not yet been announced.

Professionally filmed video footage of METAL CHURCH performing the classic song "Gods of Wrath" at the Wacken Open Air 2005 festival in Wacken, Germany can be viewed below.

METAL CHURCH's latest album, "A Light in the Dark", was released in June 2006 via SPV. The CD includes a new version of the classic "Watch the Children Pray" as a tribute to vocalist David Wayne, who passed away in May 2005.

METAL CHURCH frontman Ronny Munroe has been recording material for new solo project. Joining Munroe in the group are his former ROTTWEILLER bandmates Rick Van Zandt on guitar, Izzy Rehaume on bass and Doug Marapodi on drums along with Q-5/TKO/NIGHTSHADE guitarist Rick Pierce.
