MEMORIZED DREAMS Part Ways With SOUND RIOT RECORDS

November 24, 2005

Norwegian progressive power metallers MEMORIZED DREAMS have ended their co-operation with Sound Riot Records. "This takes effect immediately and the band [are] actively seek[ing] a label to release [their] next album, 'End of Innocence'," the group write in a statement.

"During the last year it has been almost impossible to get in touch with the label, and two mails, as the only correspondence since this summer, it shows the lack of professionalism you should expect from your label. The situation topped itself when the band suddenly was removed from Sound Riot's webpage, without any notice or explanation. By that time the band has already decided to leave the label, but it shows a complete lack of professionalism. As we have come to know, this hasn’t only happened to MEMORIZED DREAMS, but also many other bands signed to this label, so this should stand as a clear warning. The band is now looking for a more professional label, to release the next album, suitably named 'End of Innocence'."

MEMORIZED DREAMS issued their debut album, "Theater of Life", in April 2004 through Sound Riot. The CD was recorded at Skansen Lydstudio in Trondheim, Norway with producer Stein Bratland and featured a guest appearance on the track "Gates of Heaven" by singer Olaf Hayer (DIONYSUS, LUCA TURILLI, LORD BYRON). Mastering duties were handled by Tommy Newton at Area 51 Studios in Germany.
