Members Of ANTHRAX, TWISTED SISTER And OVERKILL To Join JIM BREUER At 'Comedy Steel'

January 7, 2007

Members of ANTHRAX, TWISTED SISTER and OVERKILL have been added to the lineup for "Comedy Steel", joining "heavy-metal comedian" Jim Breuer! Taking place at the Nokia Theater in New York's Times Square on Saturday, January 13, 2007, "Comedy Steel", hosted by radio personality DJ Eddie Trunk, will feature cult favorites, such as Jim's versions of AC/DC singing "Hokey Pokey" and METALLICA "If You're Happy and You Know It". Breuer will also be joined by some of America's funniest comedians, including Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson, as well as surprise special guests from rock 'n' roll royalty. Proceeds from the event will benefit Cure Autism Now, an organization of parents, clinicians and leading scientists committed to accelerating the pace of biomedical research in autism through raising money for research projects, education and outreach.

Tickets for "Comedy Steel" are available now via Ticketmaster. Fans that purchase VIP tickets will have the chance to "hang" backstage with THE BREU CRUE prior to the show. VIP passes include exclusive access to a pre-show party and meet-and-greet with Jim Breuer and special guests, as well as Jim Breuer's "Heavy Metal Comedy" DVD, autographed by Breuer himself.

"Comedy Steel" will kick off THE BREU CRUE's heavy-metal comedy romp around the country, which will stop in several cities throughout the spring.

As previously reported, a video clip of JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford and Breuer dueting on PRIEST's "Devil's Child" live on the "Breuer Unleashed" show on Sirius Satellite Radio in New York City in early December 2006 has been posted online at YouTube.com. The last time Halford apparently sang this song was 13 years ago with FIGHT; the track hasn't been performed by the Rob-fronted version of JUDAS PRIEST in 23 years.
