MEHIDA, the Finnish/Swedish melodic metal band featuring former CANDLEMASS/current THERION singer Thomas Vikström, has posted the following message on its web site:

"MEHIDA has just signed a worldwide record contract with a label whose name will soon be revealed. We're happy to inform all the fans outside Finland that now the album ['Blood & Water'] should be easier to get also oversesas. The worldwide deal also causes some changes to the release schedule in Finland. We're really sorry for the delay, but now we have the final release date set and it's August 22, 2007. Around then the album should be out everywhere also in iTunes. All the Finnish fans who have already pre-ordered the album, thanks for your patience. We will send you the albums on the release day."

"Blood & Water" was recorded and mixed at Fantom Studio, co-produced and mixed by Samu Oittinen (DIABLO, SILENTIUM etc.). The CD contains "over fifty minutes of energetic modern metal," according to a posting on the band's MySpace page.
