MEHIDA Completes Recording New Album

June 12, 2008

MEHIDA, the Finnish/Swedish melodic metal band featuring former CANDLEMASS/current THERION singer Thomas Vikstrm, recently entered the studio to begin recording its second album, due later in the year via Napalm Records. "The rhythm guitars were recorded at Fear & Loathing (MESHUGGAH, CLAWFINGER) studio with CLAWFINGER mastermind Jocke Skog," the group writes on its web site. "Now everything is recorded, and soon the album will be mixed."

MEHIDA previously stated about the upcoming CD, "The people who liked the approach of the first one can expect the follow-up album to be even stronger and more powerful."

MEHIDA's debut album, "Blood & Water", came out in August 2007.

"Blood & Water" was recorded and mixed at Fantom Studio, co-produced and mixed by Samu Oittinen (DIABLO, SILENTIUM etc.). The CD contains "over fifty minutes of energetic modern metal," according to a press release.

MEHIDA is:

Thomas Vikstrm - Vocals
Jarno Raitio - Bass
Mikko Harkin (ex-SONTATA ARCTICA, KOTILPELTO) - Keys
Jani Stefanovic (ex-AM I BLOOD) - Guitar
Markus Niemispelto - Drums
