MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE: 'So Close, I Can Almost Taste The Adrenalin'

July 12, 2005

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"Last night I was the guest of the legendary Bob Coburn on 'Rockline' and about halfway through the show, I was joined by Burton and Raymond of FEAR FACTORY.

"It was a fun show and I heard some of their new album, which kicks!

"I hope some of you were able to tune in. I also was happy to talk to my old friends and it just confirms how badass this is going to be for all of us to jam every night on the same bill.

"All of the dates are confirmed for this tour, with the exception of trying to add Cincinnati on August 16th. I imagine if that doesn't happen, something will be put it in its place.

"Any other shows after September 11th will be announced on the bands respective websites, UNLESS Gigantour is confirmed to go down to Australia. And at that point, if you are on the Gigantour mailing list, you will be notified.

"We are getting so close, I can almost taste the adrenalin!

"Anyway, yesterday there were a lot of projects set in motion for the Cadott show, for Gigantour, for the South America show, and talk of the possibility of going to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Columbia, and the aforementioned Australian trek. If we were to go to any of these cities, excluding Oz, I can only say so far that it will be just us and some kind of support. Who knows, maybe some of the talent from Gigantour will come along?!?!

"So, yesterday Willie, TJ, and Wade (our tour manager) came down to my house and we went by the storage locker to start pulling the gear we use for the North American shows out of the lockers, and no key! We had to grind the locks off, but in the end, criminal experience prevailed and we got in.

"Today I will be doing interviews with the Albuquerque Journal, Bergen Record in Bergen County, New Jersey, Tucson Weekly and the Tampa Tribune for Gigantour and MEGS, so be on the lookout!"
