MEGADETH: More Japanese Dates Announced

MEGADETH has scheduled headlining gigs in Kawasaki and Nagoya, Japan in October immediately prior to and following the band's appearance at the Loud Park 06 festival. The group's Japanese and Australian schedule is now shaping up as follows:

Oct. 13 - Kawasaki, JPN - Club Citta
Oct. 14 - Tokyo, JPN - Loud Park 06 Festival*
Oct. 17 - Nagoya, JPN - Zepp


Oct. 21 - Brisbane, AUS @ Riverstage
Oct. 22 - Sydney, AUS @ The Hordern
Oct. 24 - Melbourne, AUS @ Festival Hall

* The "Gigantour" stage at the Loud Park 06 festival will include performances by MEGADETH, ANGRA, DIR EN GREY, BACKYARD BABIES, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR and ANVIL

The North American installment of Gigantour 2006 kicked off September 6 in Boise, Idaho. The trek features LAMB OF GOD, ARCH ENEMY, OPETH, OVERKILL, THE SMASHUP, INTO ETERNITY and SANCTITY in addition to the headliner MEGADETH.

MEGADETH's new CD, "United Abominations", is scheduled for release in early 2007 via Roadrunner Records.
