MEDICATION Add Paris Appearance To Upcoming Itinerary

March 4, 2002

MEDICATION, featuring former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader, ex-UGLY KID JOE/LIFE OF AGONY vocalist Whitfield Crane, ex-ADAYINTHELIFE guitarist Blunt, and ex-THE PIECE DOGS bassist Kyle Sanders, will reportedly be performing at the Hard Rock Awards show (sponsored by the French metal magazine Hard Rock) in Paris, France on March 21st. MEDICATION will also be performing a one-off show at Domsport in Köln-Deutz, Germany on March 19th, to be followed by a gig at the Key club in West Hollywood, California on March 23rd.

As previously reported, MEDICATION are currently recording their debut full-length CD in California for a June 24th release through Locomotive Music. Former GUNS N' ROSES and current A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese is sitting behind the kit during the aforementioned recording sessions, while AMEN sticksman Shannon Larkin will handle the drumming duties during the band's upcoming live performances until the group have secured a permanent replacement for the recently-departed Roy Mayorga (currently in SOULFLY).

MEDICATION's long-awaited five-song EP (featuring Mayorga on drums) will be released in Europe on March 11th and April 2nd in the US through Locomotive. The first single from the EP, "Inside", will be released to radio in the coming weeks.

Although MEDICATION have yet to find a permanent replacement for Mayorga, they have been auditioning a host of drummers in the recent weeks, including current STRIFE/DOWNSET/BLUE MURDER skinsman Aaron “Fat Beat” Rossi, who was previously reported (apparently erroneously) to have landed the spot.
