MCQUEEN Cancels Belgian Festival Appearances

June 16, 2008

UK all-girl band MCQUEEN has released the following statement:

"It is with deep regret that we have had to cancel our appearances at Roadkill Festival and Wardin Rock Festival in Belgium, due to insufficient funds.

"We were looking forward to seeing our European fans again and we apologize for not announcing this sooner, but we were working out ways to try and come over as we did not want to disappoint the fans, or the festivals and promotors. Unfortunately, due to the fees not covering our costs or expenses, we simply couldn't afford to make up the difference ourselves.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to any of our fans, the promotors or the festivals."

MCQUEEN earlier in the month entered a Virginia studio to begin pre-production for a new album, tentatively due in early 2009 via the Newcastle, UK-based independent rock label Demolition Records.

MCQUEEN recently tapped legendary U.S. rock A&R executive/manager Tom Zutaut the man who is said to have signed and launched the careers of GUNS N' ROSES, MTLEY CRE and TESLA, among others to be a part of the global MCQUEEN management team, working alongside UK's Seven Webster of 7pm Management.

MCQUEEN's debut album, "Break the Silence", was released last year on Demolition. The CD was helmed by up-and-coming producer Richie Kayvan in between a healthy touring schedule that's spanned the last two and a half years, with tracks being ferried to the U.S. to Joe Barresi (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, TOOL, WEEZER, BAD RELIGION) to mix.

MCQUEEN has scheduled a June 28 performance at the Whisky A-Go Go in West Hollywood, California.
