MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER Hard At Work On New Album

March 2, 2011

Birmingham, Alabama hard rockers MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER are gearing up for a North American tour beginning March 23 in Kingston, Ontario. The 40-date trek with PROTEST THE HERO and TESSERACT will include stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER spent much of the last couple of months in the studio working on a new album. Due out this summer on Ferret, the CD was produced by Brian Virtue (ALL THAT REMAINS, 30 SECONDS TO MARS, CHEVELLE) and Rob Graves (RED, PILLAR, ALL THAT REMAINS). Singer Dallas Taylor says, "We are so excited about this new record… it will be by far our best yet. We couldn't ask for a better group of people on board making this record happen."

Formed in 2004, MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER features vocalist Dallas Taylor, formerly of UNDEROATH. The band has released three studio albums to date, with cumulative sales of over 100,000 copies. Their most recent CD, "III", came out in 2009, garnering critical acclaim and debuting at No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Over the past few years, MAYLENE has toured with ALL THAT REMAINS, EMERY, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and SAOSIN, to name a few.
