MAYHEM: Banned In Malaysia

December 20, 2005

Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM have posted the following message on their official web site:

"MAYHEM have been BANNED in Malaysia so the date at Kuala Lumpur on the Asian Legions tour is cancelled but all other dates in Asia remain the same. There has also been another show added to the 'Live' section to take place in Oslo on March 3rd at the Rockefeller Music Hall for the venues 20th birthday. MAYHEM will have a new 'fucked up' stage show in their arsenal as well as a taste of songs from the forthcoming album. Be there or fucking die!"

Upcoming MAYHEM shows:

Jan. 29 - Bangkok, Thailand - Hollywood Awards Hall
Feb. 3 - Taipei, Taiwan - Huashan Arts District
Feb. 5 - Singapore - The Pavillion
Feb. 11 - Jakarta, Indonesia - Sentul Circuit
Mar. 03 - Oslo, Norway - Rockefeller Music Hall

As previously reported, MAYHEM have set "Ordo Ab Chao" as the title of their new album, tentatively due in early 2006 via Season of Mist. The band's upcoming CD will mark their first release with vocalist Attila Csihar (TORMENTOR, ABORYM) since their 1993 album, "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas".

Csihar joined MAYHEM in November 2004 as the replacement for departed singer Maniac (real name Sven Erik Kristiansen).

MAYHEM's last studio album, "Chimera", entered the Norwegian album chart at position No. 28 upon its release in March 2004.
