October 17, 2006

The cover artwork for MAX MIDSUN's upcoming release "Max The 1st" has been posted online. A brand new track, called "Plaguedoctor's Mask", has also been made available for download. You can find both the artwork and the new song at the group's official MySpace page.

Due on October 30 through Morningstar Records, "Max the 1st" was recorded at Godt Selskap studio (KEEP OF KALESSIN, NECROPHAGIA, CHTON etc.) and Top Room studio (TURBONEGRO, MAYHEM, ULVER etc.).

The brainchild of well-known Norwegian producer Rune Stavnesli, "Max the 1st" will "give MAX MIDSUN the attention they deserve, blending the chugging punch of downtuned guitars and groovy backbone of drums and bass," according to a press release. "All this topped with desperate, melodic vocals giving the music a unique edge."
