MAX CAVALERA's Musical Kids Interviewed In New York City (Video)

Jo Schüftan of Horns Up Rocks! conducted an interview with Max Cavalera's (SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, SEPULTURA) musical kids Richie, Igor and Zyon before SOULFLY's April 27 concert at the Gramercy Theater in New York City. Richie (Max's stepson and the vocalist of the Phoenix, Arizona-based metal band INCITE), Igor and Zyon (the latter two of whom play in LODY KONG) spoke about the "Maximum Cavalera Tour", and how life on the road has made them a stronger family. They also talked about Max's involvement in their sons' musical careers and how he is making sure that they are learning the business with little to no guidance. You can now watch the chat below.

SOULFLY is continuing to tour in support of its eighth album, "Enslaved", which sold 5,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 82 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Omen", opened with 6,000 units in June 2010 to land at No. 73.

"Enslaved" was released on March 13 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at TallCat Studios in Phoenix, Arizona and was produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris, the seasoned knob twiddler behind some of the most notable bands in metal today, such as SHADOWS FALL, HATEBREED, THE RED CHORD and more.
