MASSACRE/Ex-DEATH Bassist Guests On DEATH BEFORE DYING's 'Pull The Plug' Cover

August 7, 2012

Bassist Terry Butler (OBITUARY, MASSACRE, DEATH) and guitarist Michael J. Gardner (DEADLANDS) have recorded guest appearances on a cover version of the classic DEATH song "Pull The Plug" from Panama City, Florida-based death metallers DEATH BEFORE DYING. The track, which was recorded at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida, can be streamed using the ReverbNation player below.

According to DEATH BEFORE DYING's official bio, DEATH BEFORE DYING "faithfully translate their influences and retain the core principles of their predecessors while creating a new genre of music altogether, incorporating their unique style to craft artfully arranged tales of mayhem and darkness. The core foundation and execution of their sound calls to mind bands such as DEATH, CANNIBAL CORPSE, MORBID ANGEL and the like all while forging ahead with the elements that make DEATH BEFORE DYING innovative and exciting. The prevalent musicianship is a key factor to their success in accomplishing this, and one would be hard pressed to find a rival for the technical prowess displayed by DBD among their peers or otherwise."

DEATH BEFORE DYING is:

Michael Grim - Vocals/Bass
Kris Sallawy - Lead Guitar
Chris Smith - Drums
Geoffrey Whorter - Guitar
