MARTY FRIEDMAN To Be Joined By Ex-MEGADETH Drummer, WATCHTOWER Guitarist On Upcoming Tour

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman has announced his backing band for the upcoming Guitarevolution tour, the month-long trek featuring Friedman, Alex Skolnick's (ex-TESTAMENT, SAVATAGE) jazz combo THE ALEX SKOLNICK TRIO and original MEGADETH guitarist Chris Poland's (ex-DAMN THE MACHINE) prog-rock outfit OHM. Joining Marty on the tour will be guitarist Ron Jarzombek (WATCHTOWER, SPASTIC INK), drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ex-MEGADETH, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, Y&T) and bassist Chris Catero (RAZER, ex-WARDOG).

"Jimmy, as you all know did amazing work in MEGADETH as well as ALICE COOPER and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES," reads a post on Friedman's web site. "Marty and Jimmy also did some post-MEGADETH writing and recording together and they have an undeniable chemistry.

"Chris Catero is bassist and vocalist for the band RAZER who are based in Phoenix, and are soon to ink a record deal for themselves. They are a band in the modern/heavy/aggressive vein who have done some recording at Marty's studio. More info at

"Ron Jarzombek seems to be an obvious choice for this gig as his vast technical abilities are paralleled by few. Formerly of the ultra-progressive heavy metal band WATCHTOWER, more info on Ron can be found at"
