MANITOU To Release New Single Next Month

January 26, 2006

Finnish traditional heavy metallers MANITOU will release a CD-single, entitled "Fools in Control" (also featuring a cover of MICHAEL JACKSON's "Beat It"!) on February 8 via Firebox Records. A sample of the single's title cut can be heard at the band's official web site at www.manitouband.com.

MANITOU's as-yet-untitled second full-length album will be released at the end of March via Firebox. The material on the CD is being described as a mixture of IRON MAIDEN, ANNIHILATOR, QUEENSRŸCHE, OZZY OSBOURNE, DIO, EVERGREY and JUDAS PRIEST." A pre-listening session for the album will be held at the Finnish Metal Expo on February 18.

MANITOU's debut album, "The Mad Moon Rising", came out in 2004 on the now-defunct Rage Of Achilles Records.
