MACHINE HEAD Set Tentative Track Listing For Live Album

October 9, 2002

MACHINE HEAD's as-yet-untitled live album is tentatively scheduled to be mixed by Colin Richardson in November at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire, England for a January/February release through Roadrunner Records.

The album, which was originally set to contain material recorded solely at the band's December 8th, 2001 show at the Brixton Academy in London, England, will now include two songs — "None But My Own", and "The Burning Red" — recorded during the band's performance at With Full Force festival on July 7th, 2002 in Leipzig, Germany. These tracks — which feature an appearance by VIO-LENCE/TECHNOCRACY guitarist Phil Demmel (who filled in on second guitar for the band's summer 2002 European dates) — are being included on the effort as replacements for "White Knuckle Blackout" and "Deafening Silence", both of which were performed during the Brixton set but ended up on the cutting room floor after they were deemed sonically unusable.

The tentative track listing for the album is as follows:

01. Bulldozer
02. The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears
03. Ten Ton Hammer
04. Old
05. Crashing Around You
06. None But My Own *
07. Take My Scars
08. I'm Your God Now
09. From This Day
10. American High
11. Nothing Left
12. The Burning Red *
13. Davidian
14. Supercharger

* featuring VIO-LENCE/TECHNOCRACY guitarist Phil Demmel

In other news, MACHINE HEAD are continuing to write and demo material for their fifth studio album, which is not expected to surface until late 2003 at the earliest. About 12 songs have been recorded in pre-production so far — some with full lyrics, and some still in their instrumental stage — with the band having scrapped three of their earliest attempts, including a track called "Masks".

Among the working titles set to appear on the next MACHINE HEAD CD are the following:

01. All Fall Down
02. Left Unfinished
03. Bite The Bullet
04. Descend The Shades Of Night
05. Pins And Needles
06. The Bandwagon
