MÖTLEY CRÜE's NIKKI SIXX: 'The Heroin Diaries' To Be Published Next Year

January 5, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: With a tour, new album, and film all coming up, MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx has plenty on his plate. But he's also working on a personal project called "The Heroin Diaries", which is a book drawn from his 1986 and '87 journals, when he was in the throes of a heroin addiction. Sixx told Launch the book will probably be published in 2007 and is every bit as frightening as its title suggests. "It's done, yeah. (It's) fuckin' dark, bro," he said. "It's a dark journey through a reality that I'm glad I don't have to live anymore. It was healing and unnerving."

MÖTLEY CRÜE plans to return to the studio on May 1 to start recording a new album. The group is also working on a film adaptation of its 2002 autobiography, "The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band".

The group resumes its Carnival Of Sins 2006 tour on February 10 in Columbus, Georgia.
