M.O.D. Song To Be Featured In KIRSTIE ALLEY's Show 'Fat Actress'

March 7, 2005

Hardcore rock band M.O.D. will have "Bubble Butt" featured as one of the songs in the new show "Fat Actress", which will debut tonight, March 7, at 10 p.m. on Showtime. The unscripted reality show is based on the real-life tribulations of actress Kirstie Alley, who is best known for her role in the hit TV show "Cheers", for which she one an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Billy Milano, lead singer of M.O.D., comments: "'Stairway To Heaven', 'Dream On', 'Sgt. Peppers'... and now 'Bubble Butt'. I have joined the infamous. That's exactly where I belong!"

"Kirstie Alley came to see us — with 24 dozen Krispy Kremes in hand — and said she was so tired of seeing unflatteringly fat pictures of herself on the cover of The Star that it was time for her to send-up her own image as well as Hollywood's obsession with weight and beauty," said Showtime president Robert Greenblatt. "Kirstie is an incredibly gifted comedian and a beautiful woman (regardless of her size),and we jumped at the chance to go behind the scenes of her life in a unique comedy series format which will blend reality and fiction. This is quintessential premium cable for us — not only will the show garner a ton of attention, it also has something to say."

"Finally, a network that feels just like home," Alley added. "They don't give a damn how much I eat or how many men I sleep with as long as it's on camera."
