M.O.D.'s BILLY MILANO: 'I Don't Care If I Sell One Record In Europe'

Former S.O.D. mainman Billy Milano has reportedly abandoned plans to record a new M.O.D. album with original guitarist Tim McMurtrie and is instead utilizing the services of guitarist Joe Affe and drummer Danny Burkhardt to complete work on the album he began recording earlier in the year, entitled The Rebel You Love To Hate.

"Nuclear Blast [Records] didn't seem happy when I turned in some [rough mixes] of one of my songs, 'Wigga'," Milano told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "Markus [Staiger, President of] Nuclear Blast basically told me he didn't 'get it!' I could say, 'This is my best record' and give everyone what they want to hear. But honestly, this is my best record, and when Markus told me he didn't get it and everyone I played 'Wigga' for loved it, it made me wonder. So I was going to put a record of traditional M.O.D. stuff together with Tim McMurtrie, but it seemed like more work than it was worth. In the end, I am going to finish this record, The Rebel you Love to Hate, and that's that.

"I don't give a shit if Markus gets it!!" the singer continued. "I couldn't care less if I sell one record in Germany or Europe. I am an American artist. I am going to tour and have fun in my own country. Although, you can't get Cuban cigars here like Europe, so you never know."

According to the S.O.D. & M.O.D. Fansite, The Rebel You Love To Hate is currently being completed at Wayne Manor studio with producers Paul Crook (ex-ANTHRAX guitarist) and Scott Metaxas (ex-NUCLEAR ASSAULT bassist). The full track listing for the album is as follows:

01. The Rebel You Love To Hate
02. Wigga
03. De Men Of Stein
04. Making Friends Is Fun
05. We Salute You
06. Get Ready
07. Rage Against The Mac Machine
09. He's Dead Jim
10. Assganistan

In other news, Milano has launched new band called MURDER LEAGUE ALL-STARS with Tim McMurtrie on bass, and ex-SKINLAB guitarist Scott Sergeant on guitar. Says Milano: "I think it's time to start something new."

We'll have more information on M.O.D. and MURDER LEAGUE ALL-STARS as soon as it becomes available.
