LULLACRY To Release New EP In August

Century Media Records has set an August 23 European release date for the new EP from the Finnish female-fronted gothic heavy rock act LULLACRY. The CD features two new songs, "Fire Within" and "The #1 Rebel", plus two remakes of earlier LULLACRY tracks, and a cover of W.A.S.P.'s "L.O.V.E. Machine".

Commented guitarist Sami Vauhkonen: "After our last album, 'Crucify My Heart', we did many shows in Finland, Italy, USA & Estonia and it brought lots of self-assurance for Tanja. Her voice is now awesome and she is one hell of a rocker! 'Fire Within' is a logical continuation after touring cause it's a very heavy-rockish piece of energy!!!! We had lots of new songs ready in the beginning of 2004, so we decided to release an EP. We had no pressure whatsoever and we just did five songs for it. Two brand new songs and three special semi-acoustic versions of previous LULLACRY material. There's, for example, a very beautiful piano version from the song 'Crucify My Heart'. That song was originally a ballad indeed!!

"We are heading to North America to tour with NIGHTWISH in August and straight after that (besides hangover) we'll start the recordings of the forthcoming full-length album. It will be out on January 2005 and it will kick your bloody ass!!!!"

"Fire Within" EP track listing:

01. Fire Within
02. L.O.V.E. Machine (W.A.S.P. cover)
03. Be My God (Tribal Reprise)
04. The #1 Rebel
05. Crucify My Heart Pt. II (piano version)
