LULLACRY guitarist Sami VauhKonen has issued the following update:
"I've made lots new (I hope) killer tunes lately. I actually also did one song for the band called GODSPLAQUE. My good friend Euge Valovirta said that he needs to write couple of songs more before the studio and I was like, 'Hold on, I can do one if you like.' And after couple of hours, when it was ready, I was like, 'Oh shit, hopefully Euge doesn't want this 'cause [the] song's chorus is really damn good and I would like to use it with LULLACRY.' And guess what, yeah, of course Euge listened to the song and said: 'Thanks, pal, we'll keep it.'
"My motor is running and it can't be stopped. We recorded a bunch of fuckin' new songs at our rehearsal place and they turned out to be quite groovy shit. Some of the working titles are 'Tool', 'Nevermore/Testament', 'Paul Stanley', 'Paradise Lost', 'MetalPop' and 'Haunted'. You wanna listen? You should be A&R of record company then, haha. And if you are, please contact: labels[at]lullacry.com. LULLACRY is free to negotiate with every possible label.
"The demo session was quite different than before. We put the songs together really fast. The actual arranging process is going to take place in this summer. Stay tuned. We'll mix the 'rehearsal demo part I' today, so maybe you'll see some photos or even video from the mixing session!"
LULLACRY's fourth studio album, "Vol. 4", was released in the U.S. in February 2006 via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded at Astia Studios with Anssi Kippo (CHILDREN OF BODOM, ENTWINE) and at Finnvox Studio with Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS).
LULLACRY's first single off the album, "Stranger in You", entered the Finnish single chart at position No. 16 upon its release in July 2005. The title cut was backed by a cover of KISS' "I Stole Your Love".
