LULLACRY Finish Tracking Vocals, Prepare To Mix New CD

October 23, 2002

Finland's LULLACRY have finished recording the vocals for their as-yet-untitled third album and are currently laying down lead guitar parts and keyboards, which will be completed over the course of the next month.

Mixings sessions for the album's projected first single, "Don't Touch The Flame", will begin on November 13 at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki. The single, which will precede the album by several weeks, will also include a cover version of NINE INCH NAILS' "Head Like A Hole". "It's A VERY heavy version and totally different compared to the original one," stated main songwriter Sami Vauhkonen. "I absolutely love it!!"

In related news, SOULGRIND mastermind Lord Heikkinen recently told Rock Hard magazine that former LULLACRY frontwoman (and Heikkinen's current bandmate) Tanya was dismissed from the group because she was "too wild for the guys of LULLACRY".

"[Tanya] wanted to play metal and she was too wild for the guys of LULLACRY," Heikkinen said. "She enjoys the drink, but she also works her ass off. She has to be one of the most talented persons I know. I respect her. Maybe there was also a lack of respect in LULLACRY, both ways. But anyway, she loves her metal hard. She is a big fan of KREATOR and SLAYER. She also growls in SACRED CRUCIFIX, a cult Finnish black/thrash band."

SOULGRIND, featuring the voice of Tanya (a.k.a. Whisper Lilith),recently issued a new CD, entitled "Into The Dark Vales Of Death", through France's Holy Records. A European tour is in the works for early 2003.
