LULLACRY Begin Writing New Material

June 21, 2006

LULLACRY guitarist Sami Vauhkonen has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Right now when the summer is hot, we are about to start writing some new rockarollahmetal tunes for you! I have lots of different ideas in my twisted head and in my old Aiwa cassette recorder too, haha. It's too early to say what kind of album next one will be, but I am sure you can find there some serious kickass-melodic-hard rockin'-lullametal again. Before goin'underground to my secret songwriting laboratory, we'll do one helluva show just before Tuska Open Air at club On The rocks, June 29th. Bleed god damn hard rockin metal!"

LULLACRY released their fourth studio album, "Vol. 4", in the U.S. in February via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded at Astia Studios with Anssi Kippo (CHILDREN OF BODOM, ENTWINE) and at Finnvox Studio with Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS).

LULLACRY's first single off the new album, "Stranger in You", entered the Finnish single chart at position No. 16 upon its release in July 2005. The title cut was backed by a cover of KISS' "I Stole Your Love".

LULLACRY issued a five-song EP, "Fire Within", in August 2004, featuring two new songs ("Fire Within" and "The #1 Rebel"),two remakes of classic LULLACRY tracks, as well as a cover version of W.A.S.P.'s "L.O.V.E. Machine".
