LIMP BIZKIT Select Producer For Forthcoming CD

July 22, 2002

LIMP BIZKIT have selected a producer to man the knobs during the recording sessions for their forthcoming studio album but are not yet allowed to reveal his identity, according to frontman Fred Durst's latest posting on the group's official web site.

"I just came home from band practice and it was a good one," Durst wrote. "We wrote 2 1/2 songs tonight, stoked!!!!!! The album is coming along really good. We just hired a producer but I am not allowed to tell you who it is yet. It's in the deal. We have some great ideas all ready to be recorded. We can't wait. It has been an inspirational year for us. There are a lot of layers to be shed on this album. Some will feel a little familiar, others will take you places we've never taken you before. We are definitely on an emotional journey into the future… Other than the album, I've been working on The Lords Of Dogtown. It's a movie written by Stacy Peralta, the professional skater that started Powell Peralta and found some great skaters like Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, and Lance Mountain. I'm directing the movie with David Fincher ([who] directed Fight Club, Seven, Panic Room, The Game),Art Linson, and John Linson producing. It's gonna be great. It'll be out sometime next fall. Other than that, I've been skating, drawing, and hanging out with [son] Dallas. I hope everyone is getting by out there. I can tell you that this will be the best album yet. You'll see."
