LIMP BIZKIT Frontman Takes 'Inspirational, Romantic' Trip

January 27, 2003

LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst has posted the following message at www.limpbizkit.com:

"Just got back from La Jolla, CA. Night before last, I decided to go on an inspirational romantic trip to a private Spanish estate on the cliffs above black beach. I took a helicopter there and had such an amazing time. No one knew what I was up to. I love being spontaneous like that. The house we stayed in is so tremendous and perfect. The views were breathtaking and the weather was sent from God. It was good to escape the madness for a minute. I'll never forget that one. I'm gonna head to the studio and try to finish this last song. I didn't watch the Superbowl, but I hear it's pretty popular. Lol. Just keeping you posted along the journey. You know what is in the air. Kiss my ass and I love you."

In related "news", Us Weekly ran into Durst at the Lound in Los Angeles, where Fred told them when asked if rumored girlfriend Britney Spears was going to be there, "I wish she was." Asked if Spears knew how Fred felt about her, he revealed, "Yes, she knows, but if you see her please tell her. I wish I could tell you everything, but I can't." He revealed, "I'm very fond of her." After that, Durst headed onto a plane to Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival, where he hung with Britney at the Project Greenlight party. Since then the couple have reportedly split.
