LEGENDS OF ROCK: The Classic Rock Extravaganza

August 20, 2002

Legends Of Rock is the name of a unique three-hour classic rock extravaganza, hosted by ex-SCORPIONS guitar legend Uli Jon Roth.

Due to the phenomenal success of his Legends of Rock headlining appearance at the Castle Donington festival in 2001, the decision was made to take the Legends format out on the road.

With an all-star line-up of incredible musicians from rock history, Legends of Rock promises to be one of the most exciting live events performing today.

As well as performing music from his highly acclaimed Transcendental Sky Guitar album, Uli will be playing guitar in SPIRIT OF CREAM — a celebration of the music from the original '60's supergroup — alongside legendary CREAM bass/vocalist and founder member Jack Bruce and renowned ex-JETHRO TULL drummer Clive Bunker. SPIRIT OF CREAM features astonishing renditions of classic CREAM songs and will be the closest, most authentic representation of the true CREAM spirit since 1969. An unmissable event for all fans of the golden age of classic rock.

Michael Schenker will be displaying the impeccable technique and characteristic tone that made him a true guitar legend with SCORPIONS, UFO and MSG. Hugely influential and highly respected, Michael will also be joined by Uli Jon Roth for some stunning twin-lead guitar renditions of classic MSG/UFO/SCORPIONS material.

GLENN HUGHES, the former DEEP PURPLE legend, is known simply as "The Voice Of Rock". A huge talent — and the possessor of one of the most incredible voices in rock history — Glenn will be joined by Uli for some amazing versions of DEEP PURPLE material.
