LEATHERWOLF Sign With King Records For Japan, Schedule SoCal Warmup Shows

California metallers LEATHERWOLF have finalized a deal with King Records for the territory of Japan and will issue their new studio album, "World Asylum", on June 21. The European release is set for June 23 via Massacre Records.

"World Asylum" introduces new voice Wade Black (ex-CRIMSON GLORY, SEVEN WITCHES),guitarist Eric Halpern (ex-DESTINY'S END, HELSTAR),and bassist extraordinaire Pete Perez (RIOT, SPASTIC INK) alongside original members, guitarist Geoff Gayer and drummer Dean Roberts. The album was mixed by Danish studio wiz Jacob Hansen (ROB ROCK, COMMUNIC, RAUNCHY) and marks the group's first outing since their 1999 live disc, "Wide Open". Two songs off "World Asylum""Derailed" and "Dr. Wicked (Rx O.D.)" — have been uploaded at this location.

On the live front, LEATHERWOLF have bowed out of their previously announced appearance at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium. The new line-up will make its live debut with a pair of Southern California shows in mid-June before heading to Germany for their only European summer show on June 23 at the prestigious Bang Your Head!!! festival.
