'Learn To Play Dio' Guitar-Tuition DVD Now Available

September 23, 2010

Lick Library has announced the release of "Learn To Play Dio", a guitar tuition DVD that celebrates five of some of the finest pure metal tracks of the 1980s written and sung by the legend Ronnie James Dio.

This double DVD set has over three hours of guitar lessons with Danny Gill taking you through the fast high energy playing of Vivian Campbell on these much-loved classic Dio tracks. Danny uses the music to really get you into scales, takes you through the solos note for note, and then performs the songs to a backing track so you can see how they all fit together. And all the time the DVD guitar lesson shows by split screens what both of Danny's hands are doing.

Danny Gill, one of Joe Satriani's pupils, a prolific writer of guitar tuition books and scores for TV and films, has extensive experience teaching people to play the guitar. When not doing all of that, he enjoys playing live with Lidström who back up a number of major Swedish artists.

"Learn To Play Dio" (RRP £24.99) - Included on this superb guitar tuition DVD are some of the best guitar riffs and solos from one of the greatest heavy metal acts. Tracks featured are "Holy Diver", "Don't Talk To Strangers", and "Rainbow In The Dark" from the celebrated "Holy Diver" album, the undisputed highlight of Dio's career. Then Danny takes a look at "The Last In Line" and "We Rock" from Dio's second studio album, "The Last In Line".
