LAMB OF GOD To Perform On 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien'

LAMB OF GOD will perform live on NBC-TV's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" on Friday, February 9. (Note: Show starts at 12:35 a.m. Friday night — technically Saturday morning).

Commented drummer Chris Adler: "It's exciting to think that national television has come far enough in our direction to actually let a metal band like us on the air! We are very excited for the opportunity not only for ourselves, but for the doors it will help to break down for heavy metal in general. We are flattered to be in this position, thankful to Conan and his staff for their invitation, and looking forward to proudly kicking some serious ass on national TV!!!"

As previously reported, LAMB OF GOD has been nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category for "Redneck", the first single from their acclaimed album "Sacrament".

"Sacrament", which was produced by Machine (CLUTCH, KING CRIMSON, PITCHSHIFTER, EIGHTEEN VISIONS, EVERY TIME I DIE), has sold 183,000 copies in the United States since its August 21, 2006 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

LAMB OF GOD will embark on a headlining American tour in February-April 2007 with modern-day metal traditionalists TRIVIUM, Bay Area metal titans MACHINE HEAD and France's heaviest metal export GOJIRA.
