LAMB OF GOD Frontman Interviewed In Sydney

December 27, 2009

Christina Rowatt conducted an interview with vocalist Randy Blythe of Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD when the band played Sydney, Australia on December 12, 2009. Watch the chat below.

Having recently wrapped up U.S. their tour with METALLICA, LAMB OF GOD are celebrating their latest accomplishment, a Grammy Award nomination in the "Best Metal Performance" category for the track "Set to Fail" from their latest album, "Wrath", which came out earlier this year on Epic Records.

Commented drummer Chris Adler: "We are honored to be nominated once again. Regardless of the outcome, we are in very elite company and it's a proud moment for us and our fans. Thank you for recognizing us; we can't wait for the afterparty!"

LAMB OF GOD was previously nominated in the "Best Metal Performance" category for the song "Redneck" from the band's 2006 album "Sacrament".

As was the case in 2006, the LAMB guys are up against some serious competition from metal forefathers and legends, including SLAYER, JUDAS PRIEST, MEGADETH and MINISTRY.

Added guitarist Mark Morton: "Wow...our second Grammy nomination! Who would've thought?? As cool as it is to even be considered for such an award, the real thrill is that we're in the running alongside some of metal's greatest and most legendary acts. This is a lot of fun...thanks to everyone that voted us in."

"Wrath" landed at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart back in February 2009 with first-week sales of over 67,000 copies.
