LAMB OF GOD, EYEHATEGOD Among Confirmed Bands For This Year's GWAR B-Q

May 9, 2016

The seventh annual GWAR B-Q will be held on August 20 in beautiful Richmond, Virginia at historic Hadad's Lake. GWAR will, of course, be performing a set full of murder and mayhem, and now, it pleases your Intergalactic Overlords to divulge the first round of bands that have been confirmed for this year's outrageous event!

Over the years, the GWAR B-Q has had the best and brightest in metal, punk, and rock music grace the stages at their beloved event, and this year is no different. For the first time ever, Richmond, Virginia's own LAMB OF GOD is going to make the short trip down to Hadad's Lake where they will destroy this year's GWAR B-Q and melt the faces off of every Bohab in attendance.

Last year the GWAR B-Q embraced multifarious genres...look it up...ranging from THE DESCENDENTS to MC Chris to CLUTCH. Continuing to push the boundaries in their quest to make the GWAR B-Q the biggest and most musically diverse festival around, GWAR has taken time out of their busy schedule of getting high and watching porn to confirm that aggro political punks AGAINST ME! will make the trek to Richmond to be a part of this year's GWAR B-Q festivities!

Jumpstarting the mayhem will be Boston's own Wes Eisold and his band of reunited punk rock stalwarts, the influential AMERICAN NIGHTMARE. The Boston crew will surely school the GWAR B-Q audience on just how they shaped the sound of contemporary hardcore.

And we're just warming up here. A wall of feedback will surely explode the heads of bloodsoaked Bohabs when the "Godfather of Southern Metal," Jimmy Bower, and Mike IX Williams take the stage with their sludge metal powerhouse, EYEHATEGOD, who are coming all the way from the underbelly of New Orleans to Richmond, Virginia to crush the capitol of the confederacy once and for all.

Surviving Bohabs can get their infectious pop punk groove on when the pride of Santa Barbara, California, LAGWAGON, hits the stage! Your Lords and Masters have a soft spot for these rumored hotel trashers that helped put Fat Wreck Chords on the map.

But that's not all, folks...As of last year, the celebration of all things GWAR has grown to include an entire weekend of debauchery! The B4BQ is once again scheduled to take place the day before the GWAR B-Q at The National in Richmond. The B4BQ will feature tons of killer bands...including the entire raging Summer Slaughter '16 lineup...And as always; the B4BQ will include raffle drawings, giveaways and more to occupy the hopes and dreams of every Bohab.

Stay tuned for the GWAR B-Q ticket on-sale date in early June and hold your breath until your masters reveal the next group of bands in this year's lineup of loud legends!
