LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR: 'Uncensored' Version Of 'War Metal Battle Master' Video Posted Online

March 29, 2008

Chicago-based doomsters LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR have posted the "uncensored" version of their "War Metal Battle Master" video at this location (***WARNING***: Video contains graphic violence and nudity).

Commented the band: "We've spent a long fucking time working this. A year ago, Gary Smithson (directed videos for HIGH ON FIRE, EXODUS, GOATWHORE, etc.) approached us at the Murderfest in [Los Angeles] and said he'd like to direct a video for us. I told him, 'Sure, but I don't want to make a normal video...' Here we are a year later. We set out to make an epic metal video/short horror film that truly visualized this blood drenched song. With a limited budget. And a lot of help from friends. Thanks to everyone who worked on this!"

"War Metal Battle Master" is the title track of LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR's new album, "War Metal Battle Master", which was released on March 25 via Southern Lord Records. The CD includes a 20-page booklet featuring art by Jeremy Mohler and graphic design by Seldon Hunt (NEUROSIS, KHANATE, JESU).

A special-edition LP version of "War Metal Battle Master" will be released in the summer, featuring a bonus track.
